James E. Jones

James E. Jones, 83, of Bloomville, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.

James was born in Carey, OH, on April 9, 1940 to the late Oscar M. and Mercedes (Lucius) Jones. He married Kay (Leister) on January 7, 1961.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Jones of Bloomville, a daughter, Terri Wright of Bloomville, two grandchildren, Jamie (Josh) Lipstraw and Jordan (Mindy) Wright of Columbus, and three sisters, Barbara (Leonard) Farr of Bloomville, Margaret (Donald) Craig of Tiffin and Mary (Daryl) Shock of Bloomville.

James was a lifelong farmer and retired from National Machinery. James was a member of Bloomville Young Farmers and was a 1958 graduate of Bloomville High School.

James was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Tamara Jones and a son-in-law, Kevin Wright.

Funeral services for James will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville with Pastor Tom Kagy officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, from 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Tuesday, at Woodlawn cemetery.
