Randall D. Smith

Randall D. Smith, 67, of Tiffin, passed away at 2:15 a.m., Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

Randy was born on December 29, 1951, in Upper Sandusky, to the late Carl Maurice and Pauline (Hines) Smith. He married Patricia Seislove in 1972 and they later divorced. He then married Michelle E. (Frye) in Tiffin, on June 15, 2002 and she survives in Tiffin.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Candace (Christopher) Weimerskirch of Tiffin, Kelly (Kevin McAfee) Smith of Tiffin, a step-son, Jeremiah (Brooke) Johnson of Upper Sandusky, six grandchildren, Lane and Lauren Sauber, Maxwell McAfee, LJ, Lexia and Jayla Johnson, a brother, Jeffrey (Frances) Smith of Tiffin, two sisters, Joy (Daniel) Stevens of Grandville, MI, Alice (Duane Seiling) Smith of Tiffin, and several nieces and nephews.

Randy retired from American Standard. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church and was a Baltimore Ravens Fan. Randy was very involved with the Tiffin AmVets where he served with their funeral honor guard. He was a OVH rep for the Sandusky Veterans Home and also served as a State of Ohio Commander for the Sons of AmVets. He was a 1971 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and enjoyed his Harley, candy, donuts and his dogs. Randy will be remembered for his love for all veterans!

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son, Scotty Johnson.

Funeral services for Randy will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, March 29, 2019, at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Pastor Gary Hicks officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday from 3-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow services on Friday at Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky. Military honor's will be rendered by the United Veterans Council.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the United Veteran’s Council or to F.A.C.T.
