Alfred L. Ubri, 100, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 at his residence.
Alfred was born May 30, 1925, in Canton, to the late Ercole and Lena (Montoni) Ubri. He married Anne (Hensley) in Ellet, OH on February 15, 1944 and she preceded him in death on May 26, 2005.
Survivors include his children, Brenda Schneider of Toledo, Carol Spurrier of Norwalk, Mickey (James) Fleck of Findlay, Steve (Kristen) Ubri, Florida, nine grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Alfred was the owner and operator of many grocery stores around the area. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed boating. Alfred was always helping anyone and everyone that needed anything. He was a United States Marine Veteran serving during World War II.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Michael Ubri and a sister, Eva Setlock.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to the Mass at church. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, from 4-7:00 p.m., at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will follow the services on Wednesday, at St. Mary cemetery.
