Arlene Bessie Long, 86, of Tiffin, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 at her residence.
Arlene was born August 26, 1938, in Fremont, to the late Russel and AmaBell (Inks) Baker. She married John Long in Tiffin on September 2, 1956 and he preceded her in death on November 9, 2008.
Survivors include her two daughters, Rena (Brian) Harrold of Tiffin, Heidi (Craig) Clark of Tiffin, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three sisters, Belva (Delmar) Greene of Indiana, Sue Kelbley of New Riegel and Grace (Dave) Sholl of Tiffin.
Arlene retired from JcPenny and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Tiffin. She enjoyed playing bingo, yahtzee, word searches, watching and feeding the birds, teaching everyone about the bible, going with family to tea events and just spending time with her family and friends. Arlene was a graduate of Bettsville High School.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Lisa Long, a brother, Lee Baker and a sister, Clara Hill.
There will be a memorial service held for Arlene at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Tiffin on Saturday, December 14, at 1:00pm. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seneca County Humane Society or Heartland Hospice.
