Arlene G. Walliser, 92, of Attica, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Arlene was born May 18, 1928, in New Washington, to the late Leo and Irene (Becker) Kaple. She married Richard J. Walliser on May 7, 1949 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in New Washington and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2020.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Judy) Walliser of New Albany, Rodney (Kristin) Walliser of Norwalk, four daughters, Sandra Holmer of Republic, Christine (Dave) Alt of Bellevue, Dana Walliser of Attica, Elaine (Mike) Danhoff of Attica, fourteen grandchildren, Tony and Tim Holmer, Trisha Drossman, Grant Walliser, Erin Thompson, Dustin, Tyler and Brennen Alt, Chelsea Klingshirn, Natalee Mosley, Kurtis and Nicole Walliser, Lindsey Danhoff, Hollie Danhoff, nineteen great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard of 71 years, a son-in law, Donald Holmer, six brothers and six sisters.
Arlene was retired from C.E. White Company in New Washington. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, the Rosary Alter Society and she volunteered time to her parish for many years. She enjoyed music, sewing and quilting. The most cherished things in her life were her faith and family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am., on Monday, June 22, 2020, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Visitation will also be held on Monday, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at the church. Burial will follow the services on Monday, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Attica. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hope Parish, Juvenile Diabetes or Stein Hospice.
