Audrea J. Hoyda, 87, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.
Audrea was born November 3, 1936, in Tiffin, to the late Louis C. and Florence M. (Hoffman) McDonald. She married Richard W. Hoyda in Tiffin on June 5, 1955 and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2015.
Survivors include her children, Jeff (Kyle) Hoyda of Tiffin, Tom (Michele Thatcher) Hoyda of Tiffin, Jane (Kevin) Stephenson of Reynoldsburg, Scott (Laurie) Hoyda of Shelby, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, a brother, Eldon S. McDonald of WA, and a sister, Janet Stackhouse of Willard.
Audrea was a homemaker and a member of the Family of Faith Lutheran Church. Audrea was a 1954 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She was an avid OSU Buckeye Football fan along with Cleveland Browns.
Audrea was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Robert and Gary McDonald.
Funeral services for Audrea will be at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Pastor Phillip Moerdyk officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Greenlawn cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca County Humane Society or to the Family of Faith Lutheran Church.
