Barbara Hutchins Obituary

Barbara A. Hutchins, 76, of Tiffin, passed away at 8:24 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

Barbara was born December 10, 1945, in Fostoria, to the late William and Marguerite (Ohler) Staley. She married James Paul Hutchins Jr. at Shiloh United Methodist Church on March 25, 1966 and he survives in Tiffin.

Other survivors include her two daughters, Christine (Steven) Peer of Tiffin, Sara (Joseph) Kelbley of Bloomville, seven grandchildren, Lisa (Dane) Remy, Breana Peer, Steven Peer II, Zachary (Allyson) Kelbley, Alexis Kelbley, Erin Kelbley and Myley Kelbley, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Bonnie (Norman) Blymyer of Tiffin and Karen Stripling of Oak Harbor.

Barbara worked as a church secretary and was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Tiffin. She was a 1963 graduate of Old Fort High School and was very proud to be called "Mommom" by her grandchildren.

There will be no funeral services held at this time. Burial will take place at Pleasant Union cemetery in Old Fort. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca County Humane Society.
