Barbara A. Yoder, 89, of Fremont, passed away, Monday, December 30, 2024 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont.
Barbara was born October 25, 1935, in Fostoria, to the late William and Gertrude (Johnson) Sherick. She married Dale E. Yoder in Kansas on June 27, 1953 and he preceded her in death on October 24, 2016.
Survivors include her two sons, Micheal (Lisa) Yoder of Tiffin, John Yoder of Fostoria, five granddaughters, Monica Eversole, Kelly Yoder, LeeAnn Fissel Sabrina Fackler, Nicole Yoder, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Barbara ran her own store in Kansas and worked at Home Window in Fostoria. She also taught Sunday school at Kansas United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, making Afghans and anything else she came up and just watching her grandchildren in all they did.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Jeff Yoder, a granddaughter, Stacy Yoder, two sisters, Laura Jurrus and Nancy Crawford and two brothers, George and William Sherick.
Funeral services for Barbara will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2025 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Friday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Kansas cemetery.
