Betty L. Cole, 86, of Republic, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026.
Betty was born in Republic, on December 3, 1939, to the late Ralph and Lorna (Snavely) Cole.
Survivors include her brother, Van (Lynn) Cole of Republic, nieces, Diane Lynch, Janet Comstock, Judy Downie, Jane Kovatch, Bonnie Cole, Emily Ishmael, and two nephews, Dean Ross and Ken Cole.
For a short time Betty lived in California where she worked at Mount Sinai Hospital and also became a model for swimwear. Betty worked at General Electric and later worked for Donnelly’s in Willard where she retired from. She was a member of Republic United Church of Christ, the Tiffin Art Guild and the Eastern Stars. Betty was a very talented artist and enjoyed rug making on the old antique family loom. Betty graduated from Scipio Republic High School.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Shirley Ross.
Graveside services for Betty will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Block cemetery in Republic. There will also be a Celebration of Life gathering set in the near future. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
