Betty Jane McKillip

Betty Jane McKillip, 92, of Tiffin, passed away at 10:56 a.m., on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Randall Residence of Tiffin.

Betty was born on August 13, 1928 in Fostoria, to the late Harry C. and Lillian E. (Esenwein) Lather. She married Merle McKillip in Tiffin, on April 3, 1948 and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2020.

Survivors include her children, Tim McKillip of Fairfield, OH, Terry (Nancy) McKillip of Bradenton, FL, and Rebecca (Woody) Woodling of Warsaw, IN, five grandchildren, Jessica (Kevin) Johnson, Jenna McKillip, Brad (Gia) McKillip, Ryan (Lauren) McKillip and Marissa (Marshall) Sanders, four great-grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Smith of Avon Lake, OH.

Betty was a homemaker and a 1946 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She was a very active member of the Family of Faith Lutheran Church, past-president of Y-Wives and enjoyed golfing and bowling.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, LaVern Lather and a sister, Evelyn Manecke.

Graveside services for Betty will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Greenlawn cemetery. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Family of Faith Lutheran Church.
