Betty Lou Paras

Betty Lou Paras, 85, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.

Betty was born in Fostoria, on April 22, 1941, to the late Henry Jerald and Beulah Marguerite (Brooks) Steck. She married Steve George Paras in Bradner, OH and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Tomas George Paras of Upper Sandusky, a daughter, Diana Marie Halcomb of Tiffin, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Betty was a homemaker and a 1960 graduate from Columbus School for the Blind.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Robert Steck and a sister, Ann Weicht.

Burial will be held at Knollcrest cemetery. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
