Betty L. Watson passed peacefully Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria, at age 95 years young.
Betty was born on June 29, 1925 to Jay W. and Florence (Knepper) Seigley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John W. Watson of Tiffin, her sister, Joyce (John) Crum of Tiffin and her two brothers, Bill (Jean) Seigley of Tiffin and Ben (Kathy) Seigley of Fridley, Minnesota.
Betty is survived by her children, Larry (Juanita) Watson of Republic, Dean Steven (Mary) Watson of Tiffin and Ken Watson of Tiffin, along with her grandchildren, Sarah, Seth, Anna and Marta and seven great-grandchildren.
Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother. She treasured her time with friends and family, especially at Christmas and summer picnics. She enjoyed attending and supporting her grandchildren's sporting and musical activities. A lot of her time was spent alongside her children tending to her farm. Most of all, she enjoyed spending hours in the kitchen with her grandchildren, passing onto them her family recipes.
Betty was born and raised on a farm and her and her husband, John were lifelong farmers. She enjoyed working outside all day in the fields, driving the tractors and taking care of her livestock. Her personal hobbies included card club, vegetable gardening, cooking and canning.
