Beverly Jean Wheatley, 98, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at her residence.
Beverly was born May 1, 1927 to the late Robert J. and Emma Louise (Heller) Houk. She married Jerald E. Wheatley on June 14, 1947 at the First Lutheran Church in Tiffin and they spent 77 wonderful years together.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol L. Coffman of Tiffin, daughter-in-law, Rose Wheatley, brother-in-law, Richard Wheatley, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Beverly was a homemaker and a 1945 Columbian High School graduate. She was a life member of First Lutheran Church, a 72-year member of Eastern Star #189, and a member of the Seneca County Genealogical Society. Beverly loved to be outdoors and enjoyed gardening, camping, and traveling around the world with her husband, Jerald. She also loved to sew, knit, and work in her home. She made hundreds of beanies and wash rags.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald, her parents, son, Michael Wheatley, son-in-law, James Coffman, and brother, Charles Houk.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the First Lutheran Church in Tiffin. A private burial for Beverly will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.
