Bonnie S. Brunner

Bonnie S. Brunner, 63, of Bascom, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Care Center in Toledo.

Bonnie was born on October 29, 1956, in Columbus, to the late Delbert and Marjorie (Thallman) Johnson. She married Richard A. Brunner in Tiffin, on February 24, 2006 and he survives in Bascom.

Additional survivors include her daughter, Amber (Luis) Lopez of Phoenix, AZ, two step-children, Doug (Laura) Brunner of New Carlislie, Indiana, Amanda (Kody) Kindig of Michigan City, Indiana, five grandchildren and a brother, Ron Johnson. Bonnie also was able to reconnect with her biological siblings within the last year and was a very memorable experience for her.

Bonnie worked at Grey Printing for many years and later was a Dialysis Technician and was a member of the Bascom United Methodist Church. She was a 1974 graduate of Hopewell Loudon High School. After retiring Bonnie spent most of her time in her garden, her flowers and spending time with family and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Ryan Wertz and a daughter, Katie Wertz.

There will be a private family graveside service held for Bonnie at Sandridge cemetery in Bascom. There will also be a Celebration of her life held at a later date. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Katie Wertz Scholarship Fund at Tiffin Community Foundation.
