Bonnie I. Wagner, 83, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully on September 5th, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was a remarkable woman whose life was dedicated to her family, faith, and community. She diligently served as treasurer of the AMVETS Auxiliary Post 48 for her last eight years and volunteered countless hours during other Auxiliary events.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Louise Dawson; husband, Robert G. Wagner; and her sister, Jane A. Abbott. She is survived by her four children Wende (Jason) Jourdan, Cindi (Tom) Ritzler, Anderson (Heather) Wagner, Cortnie (Richard) Bland, fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. A devoted mother, daughter, sister, and wife, she lived for her family and was always willing to do anything for them. Her warmth and generosity shone through in her role as the family matriarch, hosting joyous holiday gatherings that brought loved ones together.
Bonnie was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, OH. She worked for Ohio Bell as an operator and also worked at National Packaging Corporation in Reynoldsburg, OH as an executive assistant for nearly a decade.
Loving and caring, Bonnie shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Snickers. She was active and proud of her meticulously maintained memory garden and lawn, a testament to her love of beauty and order. Her deep religious faith was an integral part of her life, and ever so evident in her words and deeds. Bonnie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin, OH. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering faith will be remembered and cherished by all whose lives she touched. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to the Mass at Church. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Thursday, from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m., at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will follow the services on Thursday, at St. Mary cemetery.
