Brenda S. Imel

Brenda Sue Imel, 77, of Tiffin, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:45 a.m., at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Fostoria.

Brenda was born on June 30, 1943, to the late Hassle and Margaret (Mullins) Short. She first married Robert "Bob" Imel, they later divorced and then she married Myron "Mike" Schiffer and they also divorced.

Brenda is survived by her son, Steven Imel of Tiffin, a sister, Linda Burlison of Spruce Pine, North Carolina.

Brenda took great pride through her life when she was able to change the direction of her life from the coal mining community to a very well respected business women who worked as a Real Estate Broker and also a merchandiser for Lowes. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a graduate of Pineville High School in West Virginia. She also enjoyed being able to babysit many generations of children in Tiffin and the surrounding area for many years. Brenda really appreciated the closeness of her relationship with her sister, Linda and their daily talks and video chats.

A memorial service for Brenda will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Rev. Patrick Bottoms officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Seneca Memory Gardens at a later date.
