Buddy E. Ickes

Buddy Earl Ickes, 81, of Kansas, OH, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at his residence.

Buddy was born August 20, 1944, in Woodville, Ohio, to the late Earl William and Beverly Jean (Biniker) Ickes. He married Linda Sue (Fish) in Tiffin on September 16, 1967 and she survives in Kansas.

Other survivors include his two sons, James Ickes of Helena and William Ickes of Kansas, Ohio, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren with one more on the way, and a sister, Betty Jean Conley of Kentucky.

Buddy worked as a factory worker and was also the owner/operator of Dynamite Design. He enjoyed going to flea markets, fairs, race tracks where he sold merchandise and vinyl graphics.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cindy Kimble, two brothers, Richard and Bobby Ickes, and three sisters, Jeannette Robinson, Pamela Ickes and Charlotte Heath.

Funeral services for Buddy will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Bettsville. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Wednesday, at Kansas cemetery.
