Carl E. Hites

Carl E. Hites, 79, of Bettsville, passed away at 3:40 a.m., Monday, April 19, 2021 at his residence.

Carl was born on April 7, 1942 in Republic, to the late Lloyd and Ruth Hites. He married Winifred (Luzader) in Kansas, OH on March 30, 1963.

Survivors include his wife, Winifred Hites, three children, Dale (Wendy) Hites, Ruth Hites and Theresa Kiser all of Bettsville, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Carl worked as a Millwright at Basic Refractories and Sandusky Plastics. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and going to Flea Markets.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Bonnie Sager and Janice Smith.

Funeral services for Carl will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin, with Pastor Chuck Snelling officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be follow the services on Thursday, at Seneca Memory Gardens.
