Carl F. "Butch" Martin

Carl F. “Butch” Martin, 76, of Attica, passed away at 11:19 a.m., Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.

Carl was born in Willard, on December 3, 1946 to the late Glenn F. and Helen (Vogel) Martin. He married Beverly A. (Hunker) in Bascom, on October 18, 1969.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Martin of Attica, three sons, Scott (Karen) Martin, Matt (Dawn) Martin both of Attica, Kurt (Mary) Martin of New Washington, seven grandchildren, Phillip, Nolan, Christopher, Ella and Landon, Makayla and Marissa Martin, a brother, Don (Jan) Martin of Republic, two sisters, Ruth Owen and Mary (Gary) Solomon both of Tiffin.

Carl worked as a Millwright for General Motors and also helped with farming. He was a member of Attica United Methodist Church, was involved with the Army National Guard in his younger years and was a 1964 graduate of Attica High School.

Funeral services for Carl will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville with Pastor Ed Hunker officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, from 4-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Tuesday, at Attica Venice cemetery.
