Carolyn Sue Burnside, 73, of rural Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH.
Carolyn was born August 15, 1947 to the late Warren and Edith Burnside.
She is survived by her brothers, Edward Burnside of Upper Sandusky, Preston Burnside of Tiffin, Gerald (Eileen) Burnside of Tiffin and sisters, Virginia (Robert) Sherman of Tiffin and Sharon Burnside of Tiffin and a sister-in-law, Janice Burnside of Tiffin. She also is survived by nieces and nephews, Debra (Jeff) Garber, Susan (Mike) Tyrpak, Philip (Tina) Burnside, David (Nilda) Burnside, Daniel (Judi) Sherman, Rebecca Clouse and Duane (Jennifer) Burnside; great nieces and nephews, Raeanna Garber, Cory Welter, Eric Welter, Stephanie Burnside, Kaleb (KaLee) Sherman, Kaitlin Sherman, Kenadie Sherman, James Clouse, Elizabeth Clouse, Gracie Clouse, Ava Clouse, Hannah Burnside, Douglas Burnside and great-great-nieces, Kylee Welter and Adrianna Welter.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Richard Allen Burnside and Willis Burnside, a sister, Annabelle Burnside and sister-in-law, Ruth Burnside.
Carolyn was a 1967 graduate of Mohawk High School.
Carolyn enjoyed watching her great nieces and great nephews in their sports. She enjoyed going to Amish Country and to Cedar Point and decorating for the holidays. She was an avid Mohawk High School and Columbian High School fan and also a Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State fan.
Funeral services for Carolyn will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Trinity United Church of Christ with the Rev. David Voll officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow the services on Saturday, at Greenlawn cemetery. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
