Cathy Lee Obituary

Cathy A. (Kerschner) Lee passed away in the early morning hours of October 18, 2021, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, in Findlay.

Cathy was born July 5, 1944, at Tiffin Mercy Hospital to the late Dale and Marilyn (Swing) Kerschner.

Cathy is survived by her two sons, Craig Allen Waters and Anthony Lee Waters and her beloved only granddaughter, Misty Marie Waters all of Tiffin. She is also survived by a sister, Carol (Puddy) Graham, brother, Jerry (Pam) Kerschner, numerous nieces and nephews, who knew her affectionately as “Aunt Kate.”

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rebecca McDonald.

A life-long resident of Tiffin, Cathy graduated in 1962 from Tiffin Columbian High School where she was a cheerleader and office worker.

Cathy retired after 30 years from Tiffin Developmental Center where she made many important and enduring friendships that remained until her death. In her free time, she enjoyed trips to Amish Country and Shipshewana, Indiana with friends, and antiquing at various local shops in and around Seneca County. She also enjoyed watching television and spoiling the various pets she had through the years.

Cathy's greatest accomplishment, though, would come late in life when she put aside her retirement to care for her granddaughter, Misty, full-time. This was truly a reflection of the dedicated grandmother she was. Cathy was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Per Cathy's wishes there will be no funeral services held at this time. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Seneca County Humane Society would be appreciated and reflective of Cathy’s love for the various cats and dogs she had during her lifetime.
