Charles Edward Prenzlin II “Boo”, 50, of Francis, OK, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, surrounded by his sisters and loved ones at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma.
Charles was born March 12, 1975, in Tiffin, to the late Charles Prenzlin and Janet Sours. He married Tracey West in Oklahoma on March 10, 2011 and she survives in Oklahoma.
Survivors include his step-daughters, Holly Self and April (Shawn) Davis; sisters, Tammy Williams of Columbus, Sherry (Brian) Boyd of Sycamore, Teri (Lerome) Brock of Pickerington, Nicole (Shaun) Osenbaugh of Fostoria, and Paige (Terence) Brown of Tiffin; 8 nieces, 6 nephew, 5 great-nieces, and 7 great-nephews; as well as many other friends and family members.
Charles worked as a cook and had a deep love for the craft. He was a prankster and loved picking on his sisters. Charles was stubborn but a kid at heart. Although he lacked any kind of handy man skills, Charles always found a way to make things work out in a pinch. He enjoyed his time fishing, hunting, bowling and listening to music, as well as taking in stray animals to love and give a better life. However, his most cherished time was the time he spent with his family. As a final act of kindness to the world, he gave the gift of organ donation, in hopes of saving as many lives as possible.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and 1 great-niece.
A celebration of life for Charles will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Tiffin. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
