Christine Ann Schliemann

Christine Ann (Beisner) Schliemann, 81, passed away on April 18, 2023 in Tiffin, Ohio. 

She was born on September 27, 1941 to Alma and Henry Beisner in Tiffin. She graduated from Columbian High School and earned a degree in Physical Therapy from Ohio State University. 

After college she moved to Chicago, where she met her husband of 52 years, Ulrich (Rick) Schliemann. They had two daughters and lived in Summit, New Jersey for 19 years. She and Rick then moved to Germany for his work before retiring to Palm Coast, Florida in 2004. Last year, Chris decided to move back to Ohio full time. She had always missed Tiffin and was happy to finally be back home. 

Chris was devoted to her family and had many interests, including art history, travel, mahjong, bridge and gardening. She worked for many years as a physical therapist in hospital and home health settings, caring for geriatric patients. She deeply cared for her family and friends, who miss her dearly.

She is survived by her daughter, Anna Schliemann, granddaughter Elise Haight, son-in-law Brian Haight, and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ulrich Schliemann; daughter, Carrie Schliemann; and brothers Henry, John and James Beisner.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin.
