Christopher R. Hoyda

Christopher R. Hoyda, 63, of Elyria and formerly of Tiffin, passed away at 10:54 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Lorain Mercy Hospital.

Chris was born in Annapolis, Maryland, to the late Robert and Lorraine (Diegelmann) Hoyda.

Survivors include his son, Jeremy Stevens of Fairbanks, Alaska a granddaughter, Angelina Stevens of Fairbanks and a brother, Benjamin Hoyda of Tiffin.

Chris worked as a car salesman and was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a 1976 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and a United States Air Force Veteran.

Chris was preceded in death by his sister, Leslie Hoyda.

There will be visitation held for Chris on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 4-7 p.m., at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. There will be a private family burial held at Fairmont cemetery.
