Claude A. Hohman Sr., 82, of Tiffin, passed away at 7:56 p.m., Saturday evening, April 23, 2022, at the Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
He was born August 24, 1939, in Tiffin, to Alfred and Helen (Swick) Hohman. He married Mary J. Coleman on June 19, 1959, in Tiffin and she preceded him in death on June 29, 2013.
Claude is survived by a son, Claude (Rebecca) Hohman Jr. of Findlay, five daughters, Kim (John) Schwalenberg of Republic, Kelly (Charles) Rapp of Green Springs, Karen (Jeff) Handley of Bryan, and Kristin (Rodger) Schubach of Tiffin,
Pam (Norb) Mossing of Swanton, twelve grandchildren, and fourteen, great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Ginny Case of Tiffin, and a sister-in-law, Vera Hohman of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, April and Adam Barchus, and a brother, Pete Hohman.
Claude work in the maintenance department at Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria, retiring in 1993. He was a US Army veteran, and was very active in the honor guard of the United Veterans Council of Seneca County. He was also a member of the Green Springs VFW, and the Tiffin Amvets, and also a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School.
The family will be observing a Celebration of Life for Claude on Sunday May 1, 2022, from 2-5 p.m. at The Tiffin Amvets at 1909 S. SR. 100 in Tiffin, the United Veterans Council of Seneca County will conduct military services. Burial will be at a later date at the Farewell Retreat Cemetery in Republic.
