Colleen K. King-Gillig-Andel, 76, of Dayton and formerly of Tiffin, passed away with family by her side on Saturday, October 26, 2024 after a long battle with breast cancer.
Colleen was born July 20, 1948, in Fostoria, to the late Glen Dale and Carol Irene (Sommers) King. She married Jon J. Andel in Tiffin, and he preceded her in death on January 18, 2014.
Survivors include her blended family, daughter, Renee (Pete) Myers of Tiffin, their children, Ken (Chasity) Thomasson, Brianna and Alexander, Ashley (Daniel Fleckner) Myers, Claudie and Colt, daughter, Monica Slemmer of Hampton, Virginia, daughter, Jennifer Snowden of Upper Sandusky, son, David Andel of Indian Lake, two sisters, Carolyn (Randall) Gittinger of Melmore and Patricia (Bill) Biller of Old Fort and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Colleen was a 1966 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and Terra Community College. Before moving to Dayton, Colleen worked at National Machinery, Pettibone and Tiffin City Schools.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Jon “Gooch” Christopher Andel and a grandson, Gerry Huffman.
There will be no services held at this time. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
