David E. Durr

David E. Durr, 65, of Republic, passed away at 5:15 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021, in the emergency room at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

David was born on September 18, 1955 in Willard, to the late Louis and Lillian (Watkins) Durr. He married Sherry (Stover) on June 26, 1981 and she preceded him in death and he later married Debbie (Bogart) on June 6, 2015.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Durr of Republic, children, Jeremy (Katie) Stover of Madison, AL and Jerrod Durr, a step-daughter, Denise (Kurt) Clausen of Bellevue, five grandchildren, two brothers, Bruce (Letty) Durr and Mark Durr both of Willard.

David worked as a security guard at Allied Universal Protection at MTD in Willard. He was a member of the Republic United Church of Christ, Seneca Lodge, Cornelia Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star in Republic, Zenobia Shrine and also the Hornets. David was an avid sports fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He was a 1974 graduate of Willard High School.

Funeral services for David will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville with Pastor Darla Metz officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Thursday, from 11:30 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Thursday, at Greenwood cemetery in Willard.

Memorial contributions may be made to Republic United Church of Christ or to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
