David Garcia

David Garcia, 64, of Bloomville, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

David was born in Alice, TX, on June 9, 1959 to Adan and Maria (Garcia) Garcia. He married Lelia (Stallings) in Tiffin on July 13, 1991 and she survives in Bloomville. He previously married Becki Lenhart Garcia and she survives in Willard.

Survivors include his mother, Maria Garcia of Willard, children, Wes (Val Staller) Garcia of Lorain, Eric (Jill) Bisignano of Gahanna, Lucas Garcia of Plymouth, Emily (Nate Falknor) Bisignano of Findlay, Jared Garcia of  Plymouth and Rachel (John) Garcia-Leitz of Willard, fifteen grandchildren, two brothers, Adan (Lisa) Garcia of Willard, Jesse (Meredith Griffin) Garcia of Willard, a sister, Melba Cantu also of Willard a brother-in-law, Larry (Julie) Strang of Toledo and a sister-in-law, Megan (Joe) Tabor of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews.

David retired from CSX Railroad and was a member of Jesus Way of Life Ministry in Bloomville. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, Tiffin Hornets, Tiffin Shriners and the Bloomville American Legion. He was also a member for over 40 years of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Workers for CSX.

David was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Charles Garcia, a brother-in-law, Roger Cantu and a sister-in-law, Cindy Oberholtzer.

A memorial service for David will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Jesus Way of Life Ministry in Bloomville with Pastor Bruce Biggs officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. There will be no burial held at this time. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
