Donna Faye Harper

Donna Faye Harper, 74, of Republic, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at her residence.

Donna was born October 13, 1950, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, to the late Ernest and Faye Geneva (Hayward) Phillips. She married Jack E. Harper in Massillon, OH on August 3, 1968 and he survives in Republic.

Other survivors include her children, Catherine (Kevin Somers) of Tiffin, Jeff (Christine) Harper of Milan, Kay Trina Harper of Fremont, Annett Harper of Tiffin, Mark Harper of Republic, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brothers, Doyle Phillips of Wilson, NY, Dorsey Phillips of Chesapeake, VA, Daniel Phillips of Richmond, VA, Dave Phillips of Sodas, NY and a sister, Ethel Lawson of Massillon.

Donna was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Ord and Thelma Shankle, a son, Jack Harper II, a grandson, Charles Harper, five brothers, Glenn, Harold “Skinny” and Clyde Shankle, Dewayne and Doug Phillips and two sisters, Dorothy Cantrell and Marvis Lewis.

Donna was a homemaker and a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church in Nevada, OH. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, canning and baking. Donna was a Massillon Tuslaw High School graduate.

Funeral services for Donna will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Farewell Retreat cemetery in Republic.
