Donna Jean Neifer

Donna Jean Neifer, 92, of Republic, passed away at 6:28 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Orchard Grove Care Center in Bellevue.

Donna was born July 31, 1929, in Cleveland, to the late Russel and Edna (Cambel) Searl and raised by her grandmother, Maude Wert. She married Samuel G. Neifer in Covington, KY, on September 17, 1949 and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Craig (Teresa) Neifer, Diana (James) Carter both of Republic, Denise (David) Clouse of Gahanna, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Donna worked as a waitress at Pat & Eddies Restaurant and Kahlers Lunch. She also worked as an EMT for Republic EMS and Fire Department. Donna was a 1948 graduate of Scipio Republic High School and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Cornelia Chapter #93.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Ronald Fuller, two sisters, Connie Fear and Joan Getty.

Graveside services for Donna will be held at 11:15 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Farewell Retreat cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Saturday, from 10-11:00 a.m., at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. The family requests that anyone attending the visitation please wear a facial covering and social distancing will be required at the funeral home.
