Dora Faye Strait

Dora Faye Strait, 75, of Bloomville, passed away at 11:38 p.m., on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at her residence with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.

Dora was born on June 15, 1945, to the late Willis Henry and Alene (Ridner) Perry. She married Silas Strait in Tiffin on April 13, 1970 and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2014.

Dora is survived by daughter, Amanda "Mindy" Strait of Bloomville, a step-daughter, Elizabeth Shultz of Republic, five grandchildren, Mikel Essary, Serenity Strait, Shonta Strait, Jessie Rowlett, Crystal Strait, seven great-grandchildren seven brothers, Boone Perry, Alonzo "Didi" Perry, Rubin "Short" Perry, Finley Perry, James "Tank" Perry, Lester "Check" Perry, Vernon "Rossie" Perry all of Parkers Lake, KY, six sisters, Wanda Davis of Fostoria, Zada Perry of Parkers Lake, KY, Maryann Tucker of Parkers Lake, KY, Rosalee Stephens of Parkers Lake, KY Nenia Kaye Tucker of Whitley City, KY and Amy Roth of Tiffin.

Dora retired from the Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin for 19 years.

Dora was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Daniel Strait and a brother, William Perry.

A memorial service for Dora will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with the Rev. Rex King officiating. There will be no visitation held at this time. Burial will be held at Pleasant Ridge cemetery in Sycamore at a later date.
