Doris E. Ruhlen, 75, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
Doris was born in Tiffin, on February 13, 1945, to the late Lester and Etta (Prenzlin) Myers. She married Paul E. Ruhlen in Tiffin on October 11, 1966 and he preceded her in death on February 10, 1996.
Doris is survived by her children, Deana (Ralph) Depinet of Bascom, Deborah Ruhlen of Tiffin, Allison (Zach) Rhoads of Tiffin, five grandchildren, Brandon Ruhlen, Andrew Depinet, Tyler Bajenske, Elizabeth Bajenske and Samuel Rhoads, four great-grandchildren, five brothers, Robert Myers of Aurora, OH, Donald Myers of Toledo, James Myers of Clyde, Dennis Myers of Tiffin, Richard Myers of Tiffin, two sisters, Loretta Robinson of East Lake, CO and Joan Burris of Bolivar, OH.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Michael Ruhlen, a sister, Phyllis Cook, three brothers, Milan, David and Raymond Myers.
Doris was a homemaker and in her earlier years she was the manager of All Skate in Tiffin. She also worked at the McCutchenville Schools as the playground monitor and also worked in the office. Doris was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School.
Funeral services for Doris will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Pastor Charlene Thomas officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Wednesday, from 4:00 p.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Greenlawn cemetery at a later date.
