Douglas E. Frankart, 66, of Tiffin, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital surrounded by his family.
Doug was born August 17, 1958, in Tiffin to the late Charlie and Millie (Pahl) Frankart. He married Theresa “Terri” (Reser) at St. Joseph Catholic Church on April 3, 1987 and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include his children, Amanda (Brian) Miklavic, Charlie (Maygan) Frankart both of Tiffin, Brad (Amy) Frankart of McCutchenville; seven grandchildren, Jaxson, Izzy, and Alyssa Miklavic, Millie and Carlie Frankart, Jordyn and Paityn Frankart; brothers, Steve (Dee) Frankart of Bloomville, Randy (Nancy) Frankart of Bloomville, Greg (Bonnie) Frankart of Bloomville, Larry (Andrea) Frankart of Republic, and Brian (April) Frankart of Tiffin.
Doug was a former dairy farmer and worked in construction and manufacturing. He also ran and operated DTs Radiator for eighteen years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and found joy in the simple pleasures of life including fishing, hunting and taking memorable trips with his brothers. He loved tinkering in his shop, winning at euchre and above all, he cherished time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. Doug had a gift for making others smile and was always ready with a witty remark and a warm sense of humor.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Denny and Bruce Frankart.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to the Mass at church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m., at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. There will be no burial held at this time.
