Earlie Spradlin, 86, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 7, 2025.
Earlie was born December 8, 1938, in Sawyer, KY, to the late Levi and Mila (Bryant) Spradlin. On May 3, 1957, he married the love of his life, Francis Gerline (Rollins) in Jellico, TN and she preceded him in death on January 11, 1994.
Earlie was a devoted father to three daughters. He is survived by Deborah (Jeffrey Lydenberg) Spradlin of Clarksville, Ohio, and Sheila (Gary) Reich of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was proceeded in death by his beloved daughter Brenda O’Donnell. Earlie is also survived by his son in spirit and dearest friend, Charles “Chuck” Hurt, who remains a lifelong source of pride and joy in his memory.
He was proud Papaw to Amanda (Dominick) Fantino, Michelle (Reece) Meister, Erin O’Donnell, Jamie (Kevin) Wallace, and Nathan “Nate” Reich. Loving step-grandfather to Dale and Garrett Reich and the late Devon Reich. Earlie’s legacy continues through his cherished great-grandchildren: Anthony and Giuliana Fantino, Levi Meister, and Shalia and Sonny Wallace.
Earlie is also survived by his loving companion of 30 years, Virginia Ridner of Tiffin, Ohio, whose unwavering presence brought joy, comfort, and deep companionship throughout the later chapters of his life.
Earlie was preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings. He is survived by his brother William “Alvin” Spradlin of Cincinnati and his sister, Amie Jordan of Tiffin.
Earlie was a hard-working and and trusted leader, serving as a Forman at ITT Abrasive while owning and managing commercial and residential properties in Tiffin. He took special pride in his early work in production and delivery at Meadow Gold Dairy. Along with his life-long friends, Leonard Perry and the late Clarence Mullins, Earlie was also proud to be a founding member of the Tiffin Freewill Baptist Church on 8th Avenue.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11 at 4:30 pm at Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin. Visitation will be followed by a brief funeral service to begin at 6:30 pm. A graveside service will held for Earlie on Monday, April 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Millcreek cemetery in Parkers Lake, KY where he will be laid to his final resting place next to his wife.
