Edna M. Hoffman

Edna M. Hoffman, 94, of Republic and a former resident of Front Royal, Va., passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at the home of her daughter in Republic, Ohio.

Edna was born December 3, 1928, in Fauquier County, Virginia, to the late Theodore and Pearl (Mills) Pickrell). She married Norman I. Hoffman on January 21, 1955, in Front Royal, Va., and they were married 65 years.

Survivors include two sons, Andy (Tammy) Hoffman and Edward (Bonnie) Hoffman, both of Front Royal Va., a daughter, Norma Jean (Tom) Taylor of Republic, Ohio with whom they made their residence with, a sister, Beverly Alexander of Front Royal, VA, eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Terri Lee Womack, three brothers, John, Robert and Teddy Pickrell and a sister, Violet Carter.

Edna was a homemaker and was an avid collector of antique glassware.

There will be no funeral service held at this time. Burial will be at a later date at the Leeds Chapel Cemetery in Hume, Virginia. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with their arrangements.
