Edward J Bowman Sr.

Edward J. Bowman, Sr., 70, of Clyde, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

Ed was born on May 2, 1950, in Wyandotte, MI, to the late Leslie Hugh Sr. and Barbara Jean (Mackey) Bowman. He married Martha J. (Sibold) on November 1, 2007 in White Mountain Home, PA and she survives in Clyde.

In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by two children, Edward J. (Susan) Bowman Jr. of Green Springs, Stephen S. Bowman of Tiffin, a step-daughter, Brittney Williams of Fostoria, two step-son Christopher (Heather) Aldred of Tiffin, and Jeremiah (Amanda Tripp) Aldred of Bloomville, nine grandchildren, Dorian Bowman, Anthony Bowman, Garrett Bowman, Jenna Rose Tripp, Madison Aldred, Audrey Aldred, Emma Aldred, Taven Aldred, and Brogan Aldred, two brothers, Leslie Hugh (Ruth) Bowman Jr., of Tiffin, and Robert S. (Carol) Bowman of Tiffin, and two sisters, Susan Trump of  Hilliard, and Catherine Welly of Columbus.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law Michael Trump, a nephew, James Bowman, and a sister, Donna Jean Bowman.

Ed worked in auto body and loved building cars. He enjoyed collector cars and was a former sprint car racer. Ed liked taking trips to see covered bridges and light houses in Ohio with Martha. Most of all, Ed loved his family and was incredibly proud of his grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ed will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Rev. Jan Kucera officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. A graveside service for Ed will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Tiffin with military honors provided by the United Veteran's Council.
