On Thursday, May 20 2021, Edward Alex Broski, passed away at his home.
Edward was born on November 17th, 1954, to Edward Broski and Phyllis E. (Boatman) Broski, both parents preceded Ed in death. Edward went on to graduate Lakota High School, in 1973, where he excelled in football. Edward also graduated from Terra State Community College with a Journeyman’s Card - Electrician. Edward spent most of his career at Kelsey-Hayes/TRW, right out of high school, until they closed, He was a proud UAW member, Local 1915, as the majority of his wardrobe will attest.
Edward married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Kays, on October 12th, 1975, together they had five children, Carrie Broski (Kansas), Jebidiah (Stephanie) Broski (Burgoon), Edward (Nickie) Broski (Bettsville), Kristina (Chester) Young (Clyde) and Hattie Broski (Fremont). Edward and Marilyn remained married until she passed August 31st, 2010.
Ed believed that marrying Marilyn was his biggest accomplishment, he loved her very much, and to this day, many are bewildered that he managed to marry this beauty queen, especially, his children. Edward and Marilyn shared sixteen grandchildren, (Carrie) Julian, Gabriel, Raven, Hazel, (Jeb) Levi, Kaleb, Cole, (Eddie) Harley, Drake, Dylan, (Kristina) Elora, Lilah, Ameliyah, Briella, (Hattie) Coralyn and Leelah. They also have two great-grandchildren Wrenn and Ayden.
Edward loved his family, he was a devoted husband and father and family man. Edward was honest, loyal, caring, loving and protective. Ed was the kind of guy, who managed to maintain life-long friendships, to tell you the truth when you needed to hear it, to be there, to make you laugh, and to offer a beer.
He had a fun-filled and adventurous youth with his siblings, David (Dawn) Broski (Sandusky), Greg Broski (Fremont) Lisa Broski (Bettsville) and Tim Broski, and his many beloved cousins. Tim preceded Ed in death. As a child, Ed spent a great deal of time on his grandparent’s farm, he loved them dearly.
Visitation will be Monday, May 24th from 4pm -6pm at Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Bettsville, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 25th at 10 am with Pastor Rex King officiating at the Engle-Shook Funeral home in Bettsville, Ohio.
