Edward L. Straub

Edward L. Straub, 78, of Bettsville, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.

Ed was born on May 7, 1945 in Michigan. He married Hyon Ju Straub in Korea, on May 10, 1970 and she survives in Bettsville.

Other survivors include his brothers, Dan Straub of Tiffin, Chuck Straub of Toledo, David Straub of Marion and a sister, Julie Cahill of Tiffin.

Ed served in the United States Army for 21 years. He also worked for the Tiffin Park District, Tiffin EMS and volunteered for Bettsville EMS. Ed was a member of Isaac Walton and was a graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Straub.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Fairmont cemetery with Military Rites being rendered by the United Veterans Council. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Bettsville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
