Ellen Drake

Ellen Drake, 85, of Tiffin, passed away on June 10, 2025 at her residence.

Ellen was born on July 19, 1939, on the Malabar Farm in Mansfield. She was born to the late Blair Maxwell and Marion (Hodges) Drake.

Survivors include six grandchildren, Jessica Lang, Sarah (Jerry Meszaros) Lang, Daniel “Danny” Hurt, Elona “Becky” (Travis) Goar, William “Bill” (Sophie Shriver) Hurt, Blair (Kayden) Lang-Echols, two great-grandchildren, Logan Goar and Henry M. Hurt, and three brothers, James, David and Paul Drake.

Ellen worked at the Ottawa County MRDD for over 12 years. She was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and Heidelberg University. Ellen was also a member of the Lions Club of Bowling Green and Toastmasters.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Bonnie E. Lang, Connie E. Lang, and Sandy M. Lang, a son, Robert J. Lang and a brother, Steven Drake.

There will be a private Celebration of Life held for Ellen held at a later date. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tiffin Bark Park or Seneca County Humane Society.
