Emma Louise Harris

Emma Louise Harris, 81, of Republic, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at her residence.
Louise was born on September 21, 1943 in Wakenva, Virginia, to the late Ezra D. and Margie (White) Milgrim. She married Robert E. Harris Sr. in Marion, OH on September 18, 1964 and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Tony C. (Sunrae) Milgrim of Plymouth, Robin S. (John) Harris-Duffey of Republic, Robert E. (Wendy) Harris of Columbus, GA, Jennifer (Troy) Bankey of Columbus, Laura (Scott) Kagy of Bloomville, Bill (Susie) Myers of Sunbury, six grandchildren, Christopher, Nathan, Brittney, Nick, Garrett and Savannah, and four great-grandchildren, a brother, Darrel (Nina) Milgrim of Wakenva, VA, three sisters, Iva Bishop of Aurora, IL, Barb (Ronnie) Bowerman of Republic and Shirley Jean Howard of Castlewood, VA.

Louise worked as a cook and bartender and was a member of Clinchco Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed playing bingo. Louise loved her family, friends and the family pets.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, John and Howard Junior Milgrim, three sisters, Dorothy Kodak, Anna Ruth Milgrim and Judy Carlson.

Funeral services for Louise will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Wednesday, at Block cemetery.
