Eugene Fatzinger, 97, of Tiffin and formerly of Bloomville, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at The Willows of Tiffin.
Eugene was born on November 1, 1927 in Bloom Township, to the late Roy and Alfrieda (Shock) Fatzinger. He married Lucille (Wertz) in Bloomville, on August 5, 1950 and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Roger (Jennifer) Fatzinger of Tiffin, Ronald (Linda) Fatzinger of Tiffin, Bobby (Cheryl Zellner) Fatzinger of Tiffin and Deborah (Robert) Culbertson of Green Springs, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, Edna Armstrong of Nevada, OH and Helen Lyons of Upper Sandusky.
Eugene retired in 1986 from American Standard in Tiffin as a castor. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 434 in Bloomville and enjoyed antique tractors, gardening and going to auctions. Eugene was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, Paul Harold and Kenneth Fatzinger, three sisters, Rose Ritter, Grace Riedel and Jeanette Coakley.
Funeral services for Eugene will be held at 11:30a.m., on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville with Rev. Doug DeVos officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Monday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Monday, at Woodlawn cemetery with Military Rites being rendered by the United Veterans Council.
