Frances K. Clayburn, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
Frances was born on February 5, 1940 in Tiffin to the late Doyle and Stella (Baughman) Shock. She married James Clayburn at the Salvation Army in Tiffin on November 19, 1960 and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Linda Barney of Columbus, James Clayburn and Barbara McLaughlin both of Tiffin, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a brother, Dale (Peg) Shock of Tiffin.
Frances worked at Mercy Hospital for twenty-six years and later at St. Francis as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of the Tiffin Salvation Army and a 1959 graduate of Tiffin Columbian. She enjoyed volunteering to help people and just sitting with people and hearing their stories.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Robert and John Shock and two sisters, Joan Fadeley and Doris Kubis.
Funeral services for Frances will be held at 11:00a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Thursday, at Seneca Memory Gardens.
