Gary L. Smith

Gary L. Smith, 75, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

Gary was born March 17, 1948, in Tiffin, to the late Vernus and Erma (Manecke) Smith. He married Barbara A. (Larick) on July 8, 1967 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and she survives in Tiffin.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Danielle M. Smith of New Riegel, a granddaughter, Katrina Smith of Bascom, a great-granddaughter, Mariana Rodriquez and a sister, Linda Setescak of New Jersey.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Nancy Schindler and Denise Miller.

Gary worked as a General Manager for many manufacturing facilities and also helped run Smith Family Insurance. He was a member of Tiffin Eagles and Elks Lodge and was an avid amateur radio operator. Gary graduated from Tiffin Calvert High School in 1966.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10:00 a.m., until noon at Engle-Shook Funeral Home. There will be no burial held at this time. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
