Gary “Dexter” Tyree, 75, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.

Dexter was born February 3, 1948, in Crown, KY, to the late Local and Dorothy (Williams) Tyree.

Survivors include his children, Gary E. Tyree of Tiffin, Wanda Tyree of Findlay, a granddaughter, Morgan E. Tyree two brothers, Larry Delbert Tyree of Clarksville, TN, Daniel Darlis Williams of Riddlesburg, PA, two sisters, Phyllis Yvonne Tyree Knott and Priscilla “Carol” Tyree Whitaker both of Tiffin.

Dexter retired from Clyde Whirlpool. He was a member of the Sons of Amvets, Stars and Bars 4X4 club and enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. Dexter was a 1967 graduate of Columbian High School.

Dexter was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Connor D. Tyree.

There will be a celebration of Dexter’s life held at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Amvets in Tiffin. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
