Gary K. “Kit” Wadsworth, 79, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at The Willows at Tiffin.
Kit was born February 9, 1945, in Tiffin, to the late Arden and Alice (Weller) Wadsworth. He married Priscilla “Pixie” (Drown) at the EUB Church in Republic on April 6, 1962 and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include a daughter, Kelly (David) Fryatt of Brownstown, MI, two sons, Gary (Lisa) Wadsworth of Fremont and Terry “Tod” (Holly) Wadsworth of Crestline, OH, sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren a brother, Larry (Diane) Wadsworth of Tiffin, and a sister, Cinda (Bob) Swerline of Perry, GA.
Kit was retired from Clyde Whirlpool after forty years of service and worked as an Adams Township Zoning Inspector for five years and was the Pastor at Fort Seneca United Methodist Church for ten years and was a baseball coach for seven years. Kit loved playing cards, reading two books a week and enjoyed learning about the stars and the universe.
Kit loved to travel to England, Scotland, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Italy, France, Dominican Republic, Canada, Aruba, St. Martin, St. Thomas, Hawaii, Jamaica, five times to Mexico and drove to forty-seven states out of fifty. Kit graduated from Green Springs High School class of 1963.
Kit was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kay Drown.
A Celebration of Life for Kit will be held at a later date. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
