George L. Heabler, 89, of Attica, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at his residence.
George was born on January 2, 1936 in Willard, OH, to the late George B. and Marie (Baker) Heabler. He married Veneta (Athy) on January 24, 1965 and she survives.
Other survivors include his two sons, David Heabler of Leesburg, GA and Nathan Heabler of Attica, five step-grandchildren, brother, Michael Heabler of Toledo, two sisters, Kathy Wingerter of Kent, OH and Carolyn White of Tampa, FL.
George worked for 35 years in Electronics & Procurement for the United States Government. He was a 1954 graduate of Attica High School and a 1962 graduate of Grantham School of Electronics. George was an Untied States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Order of Eastern Star Crape Myrtle Chapter 163 in Albany, GA, F&AM Lodge 291, Utica, OH, and Seneca County Genealogy Society in Tiffin, Attica Area Historical Society, and the American Radio Relay League. George enjoyed genealogy, local history, amateur radio and collecting.
George was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ronald Heabler and Gary Oler and two daughters-in law, Frances R. (Seaborne) Heabler and Teresa A. (Long) Heabler
There will be no funeral services for George held at this time. Burial will be held at Attica Venice cemetery at a later date. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
