George D. Smith

George D. Smith, 81, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.

George was born September 11, 1944, in Bloomville, to the late Charles and Margaret (Snyder) Smith.

Survivors include his daughters, Terri Smith of Bloomville, Mickey Stahl and Gail (Dave) Rochester both of Tiffin, nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

George worked retired from American Standard and was a member of Tiffin Moose Lodge, Eagles and also enjoyed fishing, motorsports and just spending time with his grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Albert Smith and a sister, Mille Holmer.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. There will be no funeral service or burial held at this time.
