Gerald L. Perry, 72, of Fremont, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
Gerald was born October 3, 1952, in Tiffin, to the late George and Agnes (Fowler) Perry. He first married Sherri Irene (Cunnington) in Manti, Utah on June 11, 1975 and she preceded him in death on March 2, 2012. He then married Debbie (Kuebbeler ) in Toledo, on May 15, 2021 and she survives in Fremont.
Other survivors include his children, Daniel (Nicole) Perry of Tiffin, Rebecca Perry of Tiffin, Jason (Skye Lamb) Perry of Tiffin, Rachel (Trent) Shoemaker of Upper Sandusky, Tyler (Carly Lehmann) Perry of Findlay, two step-children, Jeff (Annie) Kuebbeler of Temperance, MI, Julie (Jason) Blevins of Middletown, OH, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Bruce (Regina) Perry of Burghill, OH and David (GayAnn) of Tiffin, a sister, Lois Fenstermaker of Findlay and many nieces and nephews.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Merle Fenstermaker, a granddaughter, Ayla Perry and a great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Taylor.
Gerald worked as a Design Engineer for Buckeye Machine Fabricators, and was a United States Army Veteran serving during Vietnam as a door gunner. He was an avid trap shooter, a member of Isaac Walton and Carey Conservation Club. Gerald was a 1970 graduate of Mohawk High School and Terra State.
Funeral services for Gerald will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 4-7 p.m., and on Friday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Fairmont cemetery.
