Gerald Schwab Sr.

Gerald Schwab Sr., 69, of Merritt Island, FL and formerly of Bloomville, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Health First Homes Regional Medical Facility in Melbourne, FL.

Gerald was born December 28, 1955, in Bucyrus, to the late Gordon L. and Margaret M. (Frankenfield) Schwab. He married Patricia A. (Arnold) on August 3, 1974 and they later divorced and she survives in Bloomville.

Survivors include his two sons, Gerald (Beth) Schwab Jr. and Cory (Christy) Schwab both of Bloomville, six grandchildren, Cory Schwab Jr., Cierra Schwab, Dylan Schwab, Caleb Schwab, Sarah Ferguson, and Jackie Lucius, six great-grandchildren with two more on the way. He is also survived by two step-sisters.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gordon E. Schwab II and Gary V. Schwab.

Gerald was a Chrysler Master Mechanic for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

There will be a celebration of Gerald’s life held at a later date. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
