Harry C. Stiger, Jr., 90, of Green Springs, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 12:57 a.m., at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.
Harry was born on December 21, 1929, to the late Harry C. Sr. and Mabel (Reedy) Stiger. He married Paula (Smith) in Old Fort on December 7, 1977 and she survives in Clyde.
Harry is survived by his son, Michael Stiger of Green Springs, two daughters, Cindy (Jeff) Schuller of Monroeville, Dena (Thomas) Hull of Tiffin, three step-children, Danny (Sue) Lippert of Atlanta, GA, Randy (Lisa) Lippert of Green Springs, Jodi Noble of Atlanta, GA, six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Harry was the Transportation Coordinator and grounds keeper for Old Fort Schools for 34 years. Harry was member of the Green Springs Masonic Lodge, the Old Fort Lions Club, the Old Fort Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Roger Young VFW Post in Green Springs and the Green Springs America Legion. Harry was a United States Army Veteran serving during Korea.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jack Stiger.
A private family graveside service for Harry will take place at Pleasant Union cemetery in Old Fort. Military rites will be rendered by the United Veterans Council. There will be no visitation held at this time. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Old Fort Volunteer Fire Department, Green Springs American Legion or Green Springs VFW.
